Yaya Toure denies his agents words about retirement

The news about the retirement of Yaya Toure and his decision to float in the coaching career has been confirmed as wrong since the players himself contradicted his agent words. The player's agent Dimitri Selcuk announced last week on social networks that Ivorian international has decided to stop his playing career. Moreover, Selcuk proclaimed Toure will start his coaching career immediately.

"I'm saying it for the first time: Yaya has decided to end his career. He has already obtained his license and can become an assistant at any club starting in June." - The words of the agent transferred by the media.

However, the 36-year-old player has informed the public about the situation: "There has been a lot of confusion about my future recently. I want to make it clear here that I love football and I am still in contention to play for a few more years. Yes, I'm starting to prepare myself for coaching badges but full-time coaching is not what I'm thinking now." -Toure spoked out about his future via Twitter, saying he still has something to show in the game: "I am now ready and focused to take new challenges in playing football! And don't worry once the time has come, I will announce my retirement personally and officially by myself!!"

Since leaving Manchester City last year, Toure had a second spell in Greece giant Olympiacos Piraeus but this time only for three months. He is inactive since December 2018 and without a club. He was voted Africa's Footballer of the Year consecutively in the period between 2011 and 2014. Ivorian lifted the La Liga crown twice with Barcelona and won the Premier League three times with Manchester City, while his biggest achievement is winning the Champions League with the Catalonian side in 2009. One of the best African players of the 21st century can be also proud of his achievement with his national team at Africa Cup of Nations in 2015 when Ivory Coast won the competition.
